 Not bad for 99 cents, but...
I picked up eight of these fans for an older cube server case because the price was right and Panaflos are some of the original quiet fans. I realize these are the high-RPM Panaflos, which was fine as I wanted to be able to move a lot of air through my system if need be, and then turn the speed down with a controller when it''s not running at full tilt. These fans do move a decent amount of air, but they have an annoying bearing/motor clicking/grinding noise when being run at low RPM. I''d recommend these fans for a server or heavy overclocker where cooling is paramount and noise is no concern. However, if you want quiet, look elsewhere. Also note the fans have an attached bare-wire tail, so you don''t have to buy a tail if you are soldering on fan power connectors or making a wiring harness. |
