 Massive temp and noise level improvements!!
Installation took a bit longer than i would have expected. the instructions are pretty good but the pictures aren''t too great so you really need to read carefully. Comes with everything you need to cool tons of cards. I have a 5850 that was running rather hot after i moved into a mid tower lian li case with a full side window. there was little airflow near the graphics card and it would idle at about 44C with the fan on 30%. When gaming I would get temps in the 60-70C range with the fan around 40%. at that point the fan would begin to get loud and annoying. After putting this new heatsink on my card idles at 36C and during gaming only got up to the mid 40s. as far as noise goes i can barely even hear the fans when theyre at 100% so its really quiet. now i''ll definitely have to do some overclocking |
