Does not fit a USB header that is a non open header.
Originally purchased this for my HTPC build. The motherboard USB headers pins are enclosed with 4 walls surrounding the pins. The thickness of the connector was too wide. I had the sense to purchase a USB extender as a spare for another PC however I wound up using the extender for this adapter. My other PC has a motherboard with the pins open and it fit just fine. Just be aware that if the headers on the board are not open that you might need an adapter for it to work.
