 Doesn''t live up to the hype
The rated airflow is ridiculously unattainable for this fan due to the design. This fan really needs a side intake instead of a front intake. The fan is a centrifugal design and spins air from the center outward, so the intake should be fresh air from the left side (opposite the rheostat) and it should have a spiral exhaust. I''m very disappointed with the performance of this cooler. At high speed, it does produce a bit more airflow, but at the cost of higher vibration noise. I bought this to cool my hard drive (mounted in a 5.25" bay) and it does blow a bit of air over it, so I can''t give it a zero, so it gets a one. |
