 Good product with flaws
These brackets definitely are more cosmetically pleasing to the eye compared to the wire clips, but they have there flaws. Firstly, the little arms that clips on to the heatsink, could have been farther apart and really don''t need so many. You have to mount the fans after the heatsink, just like with the clips, and if you mount the fan to far forward or to far out, it can be a pain to pull out all the arms and reposition. Second, if you have the heatsink mounted horizontally with the air passing up out of the case, you''re going to have to remove any top exhaust fans in a standard sizes mid tower to mount a fan if you use a push-pull configuration. And lastly, why didn''t Thermalright implement these from the start? Even including one with my Tru would have been nice. Given all this though, I would buy a second one. Its a must if you have fans that are closed chassis.... |
