 Definely impressed
got 2 of these for push/pull on a single 120mm rad, at full speed they are just slightly audible. Completely, inaudible if I turn on my ceiling fan.
Both are controlled via Speedfan and a sunbeam PCI controler which allows PWM control and manual control. At idle and the pwm throttling the fans down to 1400rpm, I mean you can''t hear the things at all.
These are to replace a very loud, yet powerful(+100cfm)single SUNON, which at 12v was a vaccum cleaner and was throttled by using an inline resistor to get it around 8volts. At 8v the thing was still pretty loud, albeit low droning and not unbearable.
I can''t for the world of me get consistent temps because in Florida ambient temps jump all over the place from day to day, hour to hour...very annoying to determine if your $40 worth of computer fans acctually did anything at all temp wise. Either way it''s a win just for the noise factor in itself.
Temps have not gotten any hotter than I''ve seen with the Sunon so at the very least it''s performing on par with the Sunon with 80% less noise...scratch that 90% |
