I must say I was expecting more given the extreme price and Noiseblocker''s reputation for quality and silence. The fan itself has a very cheap, lightweight look and feel to it that screams anything but quality. Mine barely spins at 1600 rpm, doesn''t put out much air, and although it is quieter than most it''s still noisier than I would like.
very good fan

I installed three of these in a Corsair 800D in place of the slow 140mm fans it came with. As usual, "silent" here actually means "not as loud as cheaper fans" but definitely not silent. I have them attached to a Lamptron FC-2 (along with 3 other NB fans for the rad). The two different lengths of sleeved cabling is a very nice touch. The screws and rubber gasket and rubber grommets work perfectly.
Very Nice

A nice fan that comes with an impressive variety of mounting hardware. Its moves immense amounts of air at full power, so you need it controlled. I use a Zalman controller turned to its lowest setting. Its silent and, combined with a 140MM rad, keeps my Northbridge, E8400 AND 5770 cool!
Nice noise characteristic.

Using these for horizontal mount top exhaust, vibration isn''t really an issue, especially when turned down to 1200rpm - doesn''t seem to vibrate significantly more when tilting from vertical to horizontal orientation. The motor has a low frequency hum and it sounds like the air flow is the noisiest aspect. Doesn''t have high pitch whine or mechanical sound to it like some other fans out there on the market. I suggest using a fan controller and turning them down about to about 1000-1200rpm for a truly gentle, silent operation. Not as good looking as their multiframe fans but as you know they don''t offer that line in 140mm. Compared to another good brand 120x38mm @ 2000rpm the airflow feels similar and it sounds like there is more airflow with a lower frequency motor hum. Recommended. Bottom line: Excelent fan, expensive though, obviously.
