This adapter allows for two 3 Pin fans to use one motherboard header or one standard 3 Pin power cable (either from a power supply or a fan controller).

Warning: Please check how much power your motherboard's fan header can supply before connecting two fans to it. If the combined fans draw more power than the motherboard is rated to supply, they may damage the motherboard.

I purchased 2 of these in combination with a NZXT fan controller. A great product that allowed me to run 2 120mm fans on one channel. No issues to report.

Works great if you are looking for a 3 pin Y when doing push and pull on water cooled RADs. Plus they work great with fan controllers and you can control two fan on one line.
