First off, these fittings are really hard to tighten. There''s a very small area to grab the thread and screw it on. If you don''t have enough space to rotate the entire barb, don''t hope on hand tightening. If you use a tool to tighten these, you are likely to scratch the chrome plating and expose the brass underneath. The rotary part wiggles a lot, to the point that it may decompress the internal O-ring enough to cause a leak. That''s what happened to me. It didn''t leak from the thread, it didn''t leak from the barb, but it leaked from in-between the two pieces. Nothing I could do about that but the throw away the barb. The only good thing about this fitting is that the barb is very well designed. It''s almost impossible to get it to leak, and it grabs on to the tubing very well, but that is useless if the rotary part is leaking.

Excellent quality fittings, its been several months and several water changes. No issues, no leaking, no flaking.
