The Apogee™ XL is Swiftech's new flagship CPU waterblock. It features:
Fine-tuned thermal performance for the most recent Intel® and AMD® processors
Reduced flow restriction
Visual enhancements with an LED back-lit front logo plate available with 4 included color plates for blue (as shipped), red, green and clear lighting.

The following graphs (secondary pictures) report the data collected from testing performed with actual retail processors under 100% load using CPU Burn. Published results are the best of a minimum of 5 mounts. These results are indicative of our test bench settings and of the tested processors only. Results may vary from one processor to another. Competitive data is provided hereafter for comparative purposes, and is only representative of the specific waterblock samples tested here. Two samples of the same competitive blocks were used for validation purposes.

Note: "Air to Core Temperature Delta" means the difference between the average CPU core temperature and the average air temperature. This reporting method reflects the true efficiency of the cooling system because it eliminates ambient air temperature variations in the data being compared. Users are cautioned that the above data is provided for reference only, and is not directly comparable with CPU temperature values collected a) from an enclosed chassis and b) without deducting ambient air data.

Test Setup Configuration:
-Open bench MCR 320 Drive Rev3 with (3) Gentle Typhoon Fans running @ 1850 rpm
-MCP35X pump running @ 4500 rpm
-Air temperature as reported by (3) individual thermal probes located at each fan inlet, with air temperature values collected at one second intervals and mathematically averaged over the duration of the test.

90 degree angle barb popped off the other day like a cork taking the threads with it and all i did was move a hose a half inch to get a couple wires tucked behind stuff. If you use barbs that have a 90 degree angle be wary of this one mine is only 7 months old

The reason for the 4 star is because of the aesthetics. When you put in the "red" plastic color plate and turn on the power. the block is a nice shade of...bright orange. this does not pair to well with a black and red themed computer. Overall its great and this is just a warning for people planning to use the red color plate with this item.

Just, don''t use too much thermal paste. That was an oops on my part. I added the correct amount of thermal paste (don''t spread it... at all.) This water block under extensive load, kept it belowe 46 degrees celcius... and being me, that''s more than comforting for me. I try to keep all my temperatures below 50. Preferably 40 and even then, that performs almost very well but under medium load (gaming wise.) As said, dont hesitate buying this. It performs amazingly.
