Thermal tape is one of the easiest thermal interface materials to apply between your cpu and heatsink to help cool your processor.
Simply peel a square, apply it between your CPU and heatsink and you're ready to go.
A simple yet low-cost way to improve your computer systems thermal efficiency.
Note: Not recommended as a self adhesive, mounting hardware is required for good contact.

Used these on my 8800GTX''s with the Zalman VF-1000 coolers and they cooked my cards. They are not thick enough to make contact with the cooler and the chips. Had to RMA my cards and called Zalman for replacement thermal tape which is way thicker. Don''t get suckered into buying these because of the price. If anything get the EK strips. Whish FCPU which just stop carrying these strips.
Love FCPU even though these strips suck.
not very good at all

comes with a paper attached that sticks to the thermal pad better than the heatsink can. almost impossible to not touch the thermal compound on it and it doesn''t hold that great.
Fun! A sticky mess to remove...

Installing these can be both easy and difficult at the same time. You can cut them with sizors to fit your particular application, however you will find it difficult to remove this gunk! Another warning: avoid, at all costs, using these on *High* heat ouput sources such as a GPU, CPU, or PPU, they will not conduct as efficiently as silver thermal compound. Good for chipsets such as RAM or MOSFET applications, just beware using these on other applications..
