I replaced my PSU and motherboard in my HP Envy 750 desktop PC. It had a 300 watt Bronze PSU with a dedicated mini-SATA power cable attached to it that was used to power my slim DVD burner. I bought this item, so I could use it again. It works great without any issues. You can also use this to power a 12.7mm ODD Laptop Caddy Drive Bay in slim DVD burner drive slot.
