I love this thing, SSD''s and I don''t have to get rid of my old 3.5" nor give up a drive bay. :)
The "external" front panel comes off with a couple screws so you can mount it internally.
Your 3.5" goes in as you would expect and your SSD''s mount above that on the inside of the metal frame and are protected.
Really the only bad thing I can say is fitting one of those HDD noise isolation strips on the 3.5" drive is near impossible because it''s a very tight fit...
