Useful Radiator Shroud, but floppy

I would give these shrouds a better review if they had more structure and didn''t warp with non square fans. The edges of your fan need to be square or gaps form. A perfect shroud for me would be one with metal or plastic in the middle and rubber outside for sound (I don''t think it exists).

Good Fix

Mounting a Koolance rad mounting bracket bkt hxo01p created a problem to keep my HAF X rear 140mm fan. These gaskets provided an easy fix by adding three of these between inside of case wall and fan. The 21mm of clearance provided necessary stand off between the Koolance bracket thumbnuts and the 140mm rear fan. They also provide a nice seal and the fan ( 140mm Blue Shark ) is very quiet.

Excellent gasket

Great on 800d and anywhere else that a bit of taper will help to hold shape, but works well anywhere else as well. These gaskets are easy to work with, even when sides are removed. They hold shape well unless overly tightened with unbalanced force, and at most require a slight tacking to keep in place while secured. Wonderful product for the same price or less then 1-4mm fan silencers, which are much trickier at times to keep in place.

Somewhat works...

I ordered 10 of these for 2 radiators. They are supposed to increase the stand off of your fans from the radiator and therefore inceasing the density of air being pushed/pulled thru the rad, while helping silence the fans by absorbing fan vibration. They do that, however; when installed on a 120mm fan they intrude by roughly 5mm an all sides, somewhat reducing air flow. So you are actually receiving air flow thru 110mm and not making full use of your 120mm fan. Also you need to know that you cannot over tighten the screws. Even slight over tightening (although you may not be touching the fins) makes the rubber buckle and bend/warp a bit which will further decrease your air flow if not disrupt it a bit. This can be avoided by carefully watching for it to buckle, and the backing off until its straight again.

GREAT Sealer/Spacer for Corsair 800D

The 120x3 fan mounting area on top of the Corsair 800D case is beveled and prevents fans from being mounted flush externally. However, these Phobya Shroud/Gaskets have beveled edges on two opposing sides (as other poster mentioned) that allow it to sit "flush" very nicely atop the 800D!!! This allows an external fan to be properly mounted!!! The rubber is firm, but gives enough to form a perfect seal whilst providing a mini-plenum effect to help things out! HIGHLY recommended for this purpose or any other purpose where a nice 5/16" (7mm) clearance with a perfect seal is required. Absolutely a perfect solution for the 800D!!

General purpose 120mm gasket/spacer, not just for rads

Used this not on a radiator but on the rear exhaust port of my CMStacker to put some distance between the fan and metal mesh to hopefully cut down wind shear noise. It''s soft and flexible enough to mold to minor surface irregularities and act as a gasket but rigid enough that it doesn''t bow/deform during vertical installation. Good quality. NOTE however, that both sides (faces) are NOT completely flat. On one side, two of the edges are partially tapered (a little hard to explain). This could potentially cause these edges to bulge inward or outward depending on your application. I don''t understand this design ''feature'' and I don''t understand why only two of the edges. -1 star for this odd and potentially problematic design. It didn''t cause me any problems though.
