Hard Tubing Optional
Welcome to Week Six of our "Art of Cooling" series, sponsored by Aqua Computer! This week, we're excited to showcase another fantastic build by Benjamin from Stevens Point, WI. Benjamin has crafted a sleek and clean setup using the instant classic Lian Li O11 Evo case. His meticulous approach demonstrates that soft tubing can rival the aesthetics of hard tubing when handled with precision and care. Join us as we delve into the details of Benjamin's build, highlighting his commitment to excellence and the stylish simplicity of his design. Get ready to be inspired by a PC that blends flawless functionality with eye popping RGB visuals.
What was the inspiration for the build?
The features introduced on the O11 EVO made me want to try and use both at the same time. I had seen reverse builds with an upright GPU before, but none watercooled. I also prefer the way softline tubing looks, which is why I stuck with that. |
What components did you use?
The build features a 7800x3d, 6700XT (still delivering sufficient computing power for everything I do). All of the watercooling components were from Bykski.
What tips would you offer other builders?
Buy right angle adapters for your DP outs if using an upright bracket. There is absolutely no clearance for cables with that bracket. Other than that, it's okay to call it good enough for now, and come back to it later, as long as you actually do. Giving yourself a week or two with an ugly decision can give you time to figure out a creative way to make it work like you want it to. |
Congratulations to Benjamin for winning $100 worth of Aqua Computer gear to further enhance this magnificent build.
