In response to the overwhelming demand for a quieter MCP650, Swiftech is proud to introduce the new MCP655 pump, which features several key improvements.
Considerably reduced audible operating noise: the high pitch frequency of the MCP655 is now eliminated thanks to a new chipset controller.
Head and flow characteristics have slightly improved in the midrange
The MCP655 pump is a high reliability, high pressure industrial pump, featuring a 50,000 hour MTBF (5 year lifetime). Such reliability is afforded by the unique design of this pump, which contains only one moving part: the magnetically driven spherical impeller spins on a single ceramic bearing, thus extending the life of this pump beyond existing standards.
The pump is completely plug-and-play, and connects directly to any computer power-supply through standard 4 pin power connectors. It's compact design, quiet and powerful motor make it ideally suited for heavy duty cooling in environments where space is at a premium.

This pump is everything that everyone says it is. however it is bigger than I thought it would be so be warned. I have a mid tower case and it barely fits but shouldnt be too much of a problem for more creative minds. Also this thing is SUPER quiet.
Works for the most part

I run two of these in my system. One after 4 months cuts in and out and luckily, I have my temp settings to shut down far before any damage can be done. I did a simple fail-safe fix, I looped to together on the same system with 1/2 tubing and if the one quits, I still have a secondary backup

The pump performs well (except MTTF) and is ideal for my application, cooling performance is excellent -- however I am replacing it for the 2nd time in 4 years due to vibration. The vibration is highly audible seems to start after about 2 years of continuos operation. I am using 11 liters of distilled water with coolant additive in a dual WC XEON 2.8 GHz CPU system with 2 WC HDD coolers (10K rpm WD 74 GB) --running at about 5 degrees over ambiant.

This pump is powerfull I have two of them in a big loop and they both work flawlessly so far. You can feel the pressure in the tubes and its adjustable and surprisingly quiet. Recommend
